Lupe Fiasco commandeers Drake and Jay Z‘s “Pound Cake” to deliver “Pound Of Flesh/Paris Tokyo 2″, the latest joint to emerge, continuing his streak of freestyle leaks. Lupe spits a hard set of lyrics that play like attack mode battle raps before dropping a series of shouts that alludes to his goal in a roundabout sort of way. He shows love to his contemporaries and openly expresses his concern for – Chi-Town veterans. He explains that he just wants to see them all eat. Aside from feeding the fire in his belly, it could be possible that Lupe is feeding bars to the world to help keep Chicago on the map so that everyone in line can truly have a shot at a piece of the pie. Check the track below to listen to “Pound Of Flesh/Paris Tokyo 2″ from Lupe Fiasco and stay tuned for more.
9th Wonder surprises us with a brand new beat tape, Bladey Mae. As a dedication (of sorts) to his late grandmother, the story behind it makes it that much better. 9th explains: “This past weekend, I met my grandma, Beulah Mae Jarrett Douthit’s family (my dad’s mother) for the first time. My grandma passed in 1965, so I’ve had no connection to her at all. I listened to the elders talk about her all day. One elder in particular, her oldest niece, who’s 78-years-old, told me that her nickname was ‘Bladey Mae’, because of the blades she carried around in the purse and pockets, to protect her children from a segregated South, one of them being my dad. I was looking for a name for a new beat tape, and that one just came out of nowhere. Here’s to you Beulah Mae Jarrett Douthit and the blades you carried to protect pops……’Bladey Mae’… ” The full tape, when purchased, gives you 73 new beats. However, you can listen to a free sample of 10 of them below.

After seeing a beautiful lake in an old photograph, Russian wakeboarder Nikita Martyanov went on an epic journey to find the body of water to set up the ultimate eco-freindly park and, thus, a dream riding locale. Martyanov ultimately found the spot, which happened to be Kazakhstan’s Lake Kayindy, a lake created in 1911 thanks to an enormous limestone landslide triggered by that year’s Kebin earthquake and a spot known for the skinny tree trunks that rise out of the depths of the water. Check it out above as Martyanov rides the lake for the first time.
Black Milk keeps the ball rolling as a boundary breaker with “Dismal” from his forthcoming No Poison No Paradise LP, a concept project that follows the gritty fictional narrative of a character named Sonny. The project finds Black spitting a tortuous tale over a sinister electro track that retains that classic Hip-Hop bpm. Black Milk toys with a series of other worldly sounds and patterns on this joint that, like much of his music, forces the listener to expect the unexpected. Check the track below to listen to “Dismal” from Black Milk. Stay tuned for more from No Poison No Paradise, dropping October 15th via Fat Beats/Computer Ugly.

This time taking his art to the Los Angeles streets, illustrious graffiti Artist Banksy delivers a freshly stenciled piece following his last rendition right before the London Olympics. With his trademark tongue-in-cheek humor at its center, Banksy employs the surrounding habitats in his work, by using one layer block to depict a young graffiti vandal throwing up flowers. Banksy took to his website to showcase the piece, with a caption “Better Out Than In”, possible cues in regards to a new project set to unveil in October 2013.

When they dropped back in 2002, the so-called “Acorn” Air Force 1 Low was nearly impossible for collectors to get their hands on as they were almost entirely exclusive to the European market, that is until B-grades of the gem popped up in select outlet stores in the U.S. Like the iconic “Linen” look, the “Acorn” make-up is set to be resurrected by the Dunk under Nike‘s “Special Projects.” Reminiscent of the OG AF1s, the Dunks utilize a combination of premium brown leather and natural-colored linen-like canvas throughout the upper while a darker brown hue hits the lining, laces, tongue, and rubber outsole. NSW’s “Acorn” Dunk High Premium SP is due to join the “Linen” version of the high-top at Japan’s atmos come September 28.
